Super premium fruit has been hand selected to produce this elegant, full bodied wine.
Hand picked from non-irrigated Stolen Block vineyard, this wine is open fermented and gently basket pressed before spending 2 years maturating in American Oak hogsheads. This premium wine displays intense dark berry flavours and is perfectly balanced on the palate with a long finish.
Food match:
Lamb Salad with Roasted Sweet Potato and Grilled Haloumi Cheese
Sourced from dry grown vineyards that were planted in the 1920s, this Shiraz has layers of succulent fruit with flavours of dark berries and plum.
Open fermentation and two years maturation in America oak has resulted in a smooth, velvety texture and a hint of pepper and spice on the palate.
It has well integrated oak with a long lingering finish.
Why Stolen Block?
Fruit from one of the most exceptional vineyards in the Clare Valley was being purchased by a large producer who never realised how good the fruit really was. When the time was right we "Stole" it from under their noses!

Reillys
In 1993, we started from humble beginnings where the first vintages of wines were processed on the front porch of the cottage. The winery has steadily grown over the years and production has moved to a state-of-the-art facility in nearby Leasingham in 2000.
The Clare Valley is famed for its Rieslings, Shiraz and Cabernets. What diffrentiates the Clare from many other Australian wine regions are the dry, hot summer days and cool, crisp nights which contribute to the intensity of the flavours in Clare Valley fruit - The philosophy is to produce low volumes of premium, hand-made wines from this unique fruit.
The vineyards, located in Leasingham and Watervale are non-irrigated, depending solely on rainfall - hence the use of the name "DRY LAND WINES". The terroir is typically rich, red loam over limestone. They yield limited quantities (from 0.5-2.0 tonnes per acre) of small, delicious berries which are hand picked to ensure only the premium fruit is selected to go into our winemaking process.
The chief wine maker is Justin Ardill. More from this winery
